For me creativity is a garden, nurtured and well watered it blooms in season with glorious displays of life and colour

THE OPEN WINDOW SERIES
Hydrangeas and Blue Budgie – The most recent in the series is a watercolour collage of memories, stories and a childhood in country New South Wales.
The Silver Princess Eucalyptus
Inspired by the young eucalypts in our garden and the tall graceful trees along the chills and valleys near our home, their canopy glimmering as we walk beneath them, leaves dancing to the summer breeze.
Sweet Violets in Glass Vase
Under the trees and around the edges the sweet violets grow, tiny blooms of honey scent fill the dining room, the smell of morning, open windows, curtains catch the breeze, a garden in a wee small vase sunlight sparkling on glass and leaves.
Pansy in a tea cup
A trip to the plant nursery and a cold morning inspired this painting. I painted this sitting at the kitchen table, hot cup of tea in hand, the pot of pansies before me, early morning sun glinting gold across their faces.
daisy chains
On sunny days they lay about, crowns of daisy chains in their hair as strings of pretty daisy bunting sway from twig and bough, a garden room beneath the big shade tree.
Yellow wattle winters light
Dark grey skies release a beam of sunshine, winter sun streams a joyful glow across the room. Wattle’s tiny yellow blooms fall in dusty sunlight, a sweet honey scent floats from room to room.
Sunflowers in pottery
Sunny faces lifted skyward singing in chorus their worship song, honey filled the bees come join them, ripe with seed the birds alight, an orchestra of glory rises, delight in me, delight, delight.
